Q : Do you offer discounts to existing customers?
A : Yes. Once you have come for two consecutive years, you will receive a discount coupon for 20$ off the regular price. The discount is offered during the month of June.
Q : Do you drill holes in the vehicle?
A : Yes. Holes are drilled in strategic locations to provide access to all areas susceptible to rust. For example: the doors, undercarriages and rear fenders.
Q : Will these holes rust?
A : No. Grease is applied around the hole to ensure that it doesn’t rust.
Q : Q: My vehicle was built with polymer panels, should I still have it treated?
A : Yes. The bottom of your vehicle should still be treated and we will even do so at a reduced price. In addition to the bottom of your vehicle, which includes the complete undercarriage, we also treat all hinges as well as the front hood.
Q : Why must the vehicle be treated every year?
A : The difficult winters we experience in Québec and Ontario tend to lessen the effectiveness of most products over time. Due to temperature variations and the abrasive nature of salt, dust and sand, the product may be removed over time, leaving certain parts of the vehicle unprotected.
Q : Should I have my new vehicle treated immediately?
A : Yes. This will eliminate any chance of the corrosion process starting. What’s more, the company provides a no-charge lifetime guarantee for new vehicles. This guarantee covers the cost of repair only. As such, if rust begins to appear on your vehicle (from the interior towards the exterior only), we will reimburse all repair costs. (See Guarantee for New Vehicles section for complete details.)
Q : I own a used vehicle, is it worth having it treated?
A : Absolutely. The fact that you are thinking of having an antirust product applied would indicate that your vehicle is in good condition. The treatment stabilises the existing areas of rust and, as a result, slows down the rust’s progression considerably.
Q : How long does it take to apply the treatment?
A : Typically 45 minutes, though it may take up to one hour during the winter.
Q : Does the product continue dripping from my vehicle for long?
A : No, two days at most.
Q : Must the vehicle be driven on sand following the treatment?
A : No. Quite the opposite in fact as sand and dust will form a crust in certain areas and absorb the product, thereby reducing its effectiveness.
Q : Does your product cause damage to rubbers, plastics, electrical systems, audio systems, etc.?
A : No.
Q : Why should I use oil as opposed to a thicker coating when treating my vehicle against rust?
A : Oil, which is fluid, will cover areas that are inaccessible to more viscous products. What’s more, because oil is fluid, it penetrates into the metal. Thicker coatings form a protective layer on the surface of the metal only and, over time, will dry out, crumble or scale. They also tend to obstruct evacuation holes. The uncovered areas will become vulnerable to rust. The corrosion process may even be accelerated due to water finding its way into unprotected areas.
Q : Can a vehicle be treated even when it’s raining?
A : Yes. We have large industrial dryers designed to dry vehicles prior to treatment and the additives in our product will eliminate any residual water.
Q : Can the product be removed by rainwater?
A : No. The oil is firmly bonded with the metal and does not mix with water. As such, it creates a barrier against water and humidity. Just think of the times you’ve tried to clean your hands using only water when they are covered in oil. As you probably know, the oil cannot be removed, even with scrubbing, and grease-cutting soap must be used.
Q : Should I make an appointment to have my vehicle treated?
A : Yes. An appointment is recommended to avoid an extended wait.
