Foire aux questions
The following are questions we are most often asked with the answers. If you have additional questions, contact us by clicking here or by calling 1-866-268-4768. It will be our pleasure to answer any other questions you might have.
Why should I treat my car once a year?
Our climate is so harsh that most rust proofing products lose their effectiveness over time. The salt and calcium dumped on roads during winter, as well as sand and dust can damage the protective anticorrosion coating, which eventually leave certain parts of the vehicle unprotected.
What is the difference between your Original and Advantage products?
Both products are equally effective. The difference is that the Advantage product does not drip after treatment. The Original rust proofing is a mineral based-oil, whereas the Advantage is made with vegetable oil.
Do you offer a discount to loyal customers?
Yes. When you treat your car for two consecutive years, the third year and those following you will receive by mail a coupon for $20 off the regular price of a complete treatment. This coupon is valid in May and June.
Why do you drill holes for the car's first treatment?
If my vehicle has polymer panels, can it be treated?
Yes, and we can treat the entire undercarriage, the hinges and the hood at a lower price than for another vehicle.
I just bought a new vehicle. Should I treat it now?
Yes, even if the vehicle manufacturer or dealer already offers a guarantee against rust. This way, the corrosion process will have no chance to start. In addition, we offer clients the option of a lifetime guarantee against rust for the life of new vehicles.
I have a used vehicle. Is it worth the trouble to treat it?
Yes, if it is still in good condition, and even if it has a little rust. Our treatment stabilizes the existing rust and slows down its progression considerably. We also offer our clients the option of a lifetime guarantee against rust for used vehicles.
How long does it take to treat it?
Between 35 and 45 minutes, except in winter, it takes about 1 hour.
Does your treatment drip?
If you have your vehicle treated with our Original product, it will drip for two or three days at most. In contrast, our Advantage product does not run.
Can I drive on sandy roads after the treatment?
No, so avoid these roads for some time. The earth, sand and dust will create a crust in some places and absorb the product, thereby reducing effectiveness.
Can I treat my vehicle on rainy days?
Yes. All our locations have large industrial dryers that can dry the vehicle. Also, the additives in our rust proofing product repel water if any remains after drying.
What is the best time to treat my car?
Anytime! Our facilities allow us to carry out a fully effective treatment throughout the year.
Will rain remove the rust proofing product?
No, because the rust proofing bonds to metal and does not mix with water. The product creates a shield against water and moisture. The same thing occurs when you try to wash their hands when they are covered with oil. The oil cannot be removed with water alone or by rubbing it; you need to use soap.
Do I have to make an appointment to treat my car?
Yes, it is important to make an appointment. This way you will avoid the risk of waiting.
My vehicle was in an accident. Can you treat the damaged parts?
Yes, and if the accident took place in the year following the last treatment of your vehicle, we will treat the damaged part or parts for free.
How long does the Aquapel product last?
Up to six times longer than other glass treatment products. We recommend reapplication every 4-6 months.
How long does it take to apply Aquapel?
Approximately 20 minutes, unless you rust proof your car during the same visit, the two treatments will be done together, which will take between 35 and 45 minutes (one hour in winter).
Is Aquapel resistant to cleaners, snow brushes, a car wash, etc.?
Absolutely! Aquapel is designed to last.
Why is restoring headlights important?
To maximize your visibility and driving safety. Over time, the sun's ultraviolet rays causes lenses to dull and yellow, which greatly reduces visibility during night driving. That doesn't take into account scratches, dirt, etc. Headlight restoration gives them back the shine they had when they were new. How often should I change my wipers?
